How we work

A setup site you can actually trust

  1. We watch the streams

We review their streams, setup videos and the peripherals visible on camera.

    01
  2. We cross-check

We compare what the creator says, their sponsorships and the manufacturer’s specs.

    02
  3. We cite sources

Every page ends with its list of sources and the date of the last review.

FAQ

Where does the gear for each setup come from?

From the streamer’s own streams and videos, what they share on social media and in interviews, and the manufacturers’ spec sheets. Every page ends with its list of sources.

How often are setups updated?

We review the most-searched setups every few months and each page shows the date of its last review. Streamers change peripherals often, especially when they sign a sponsorship.

What microphone do streamers use the most?

The Shure SM7B: it shows up in 42 of the 78 setups we reviewed. It usually comes with a Rode PSA1 boom arm and an audio interface such as a Focusrite Scarlett.

Do you earn money from the links?

Some Amazon links are affiliate links: if you buy, Amazon pays us a small commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes which gear appears in a setup.
